Obligatory use of masks outdoors will end on June 26, says Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has announced that masks would no longer have to be worn outdoors in the country from Saturday June 26th onward.

Pedro Sánchez, has said they will hold an extraordinary 'Council of Ministers' next Thursday in which they will propose that the face mask will no longer be mandatory as a coronavirus prevention measure in open spaces as of Saturday, June 26th. The long awaited announcement comes as the vaccination campaign moves on to the over-40 age group and the incidence of the virus at its lowest level since last August.
