If the property is unoccupied for months at a time, it could be a condition of your insurance policy that regular checks are carried out. You may need a post-build clean, changeover cleans, linen and towels laundered, a pool or spa maintained and cleaned. You need trades (kitchen fitters, furniture suppliers and garden constructors) to have access.
This is all very difficult to organise when you are many miles away.
