Fuerteventura may well be behind the rest of Europe regarding Internet useage.

Part of the reason is that householders are made to jump through many hoops just to get a landline from Telefonica.

Businesses however, usually have landlines and are now beginning to catch on to the wonderful world of the internet (ahem...).

In the last couple of years more and more Internet Cafes are appearing throughout the island and with the recent introduction of ADSL we're at last beginning to catch up with the rest of the world.
